I got an iFrogz Luxe case in Pink from Amazon (Amazon Link) a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. It is a slider case meaning it slides on with two pieces, a top and bottom. The top is pink and the bottom is black. You can also get the case in blue, red, green, orange, silver and clear. The case I got is for the iPhone 3G & 3GS and cost $10 ($29.99 on iFrogz site)
I love the feel of the case. It is silky yet has enough of a matte so the case doesn’t slide all over the place in your hand when holding it. Inside the case is felt so when you slide it onto your iPhone is doesn’t scratch the back. It has all the necessary slots for the sleep button, headphones, volume and camera buttons. The bottom is open so that you can charge your phone while in the case. And, the case doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone.
The flaw is that there are tiny black tabs that connect the two slider parts when you slide it onto the phone. Well, they can be easily broken if you don’t slide the case on properly. I happened to break the tab when I was putting on the case recently and not watching how it was sliding in. Bummer!
So, I am returning the case to Amazon. Will I get another one? Yes. For $10 on Amazon I still think it is a good case. I will be more careful next time with the case and watch where the black tabs line up when putting on the case.
Do I recommend the case? Without much to compare it to I’m not sure. It is a decent case for the money, it doesn’t scratch the iPhone like I have read other slider cases do, and the feel of it is great so I suggest if you buy this case make sure to watch how you slide it on and make sure you get it from a place with a good return policy just in case you break one of the black tabs.
Since I have little experiences with cases (I also have a Mophie Juicepack Air battery case which I will review soon) I ask my readers to share their experiences with cases and what they would suggest.
